What to Expect Before Adopting:

• Matching: We take the time to get to know each animal's personality and needs. Our team will work with you to find a pet that complements your lifestyle and family.

• Home Visit: We may conduct a virtual or in-person home visit to ensure your environment is safe and suitable for the animal you're interested in.

• Reference Check: We may contact personal references to learn more about your experience with animals.

• Adoption Contract: If approved, you'll sign an adoption contract outlining your commitment to providing a loving home and responsible care for your new pet.

Specific Requirements for Small Animals:

• Pairs or Existing Companions: Small animals like guinea pigs and rabbits often thrive in pairs or with an existing companion of their own kind. We'll discuss the best options for your situation.

• Appropriate Housing: We'll provide guidance on the minimum cage size and necessary supplies to ensure your new pet has a comfortable and enriching environment.

What You Need to Know:

• Commitment: Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment. Be prepared to love, care for, and cherish your new companion for their entire life.

• Return Policy: If for any reason you can no longer care for your adopted pet, we ask that you return them to Serenity Pet Rescue.

• Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to adopt. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the application.

• Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are non-refundable and help cover the cost of vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and other essential care for our animals.
